  • Frank J. Winchester - Jesus as a Human BeingThis book allows the reader to see Jesus as a human being in a given period of time and a specific geographic location. Invaluable information concerning the religious practices that Jesus, as a Jew, would have been under are included along with much of Jewish history. There are only two points that need more attention or were not included that I would stress. I think the fact that Jesus never led an armed rebellion against Rome as did other "messiahs of that time period" needs more emphasis. The trial of Jesus as outlined in this book relies on the Jewish authorities actually following their own written rules. This group of Jewish authorities are repeatedly described as corrupt etc and I cannot accept that such a group would follow any rules that would hinder them from what they physically could do. No book is ever going to be perfect but this one comes as close as one could wish.
  • 2011 nursing student - very helpful drug guideAs a newly pharmacology student, this Pocket Drug Guide is very useful for me during meds administration...I would recommend for any nursing student who wants to be on top of his/her game. It's very portable and easy to use..very self explanatory!! Try it and you will know what I'm talking about.
  • H. Rose - Read or remain ignorantMr. Scahill is objectively showing the world some of the stuff our government is doing. It's HORRIFYING but at the same time refreshing to have someone whose courageous and intelligent enough to find the facts, no matter how repulsive they are. I saw him last night in Oakland and he seems very authentic.

If you'd rather bury your head in the sand and pretend that everything is fine or none of it affects you, then this is not the book for you.
